My Home Town Brewery (Part II VLOG)

PART II of three part series. The Cold Spring Brewery and now the Gluek Brewing Company have been a part of our community for over 130 years. Would you believe a brewery helped survive prohibition by raising and selling cattle on the land around their facility? It really happened and there's much more to see like "BILLY (Carter) BEER" and "KILLEBREW ROOTBEER".

The Cold Spring Brewery and now the Gluek Brewing Company have been a part of our community for over 130 years. My favorite beer is "Honey Bock", a beer produced right here in Cold Spring, MN. This story tells of the early years at the brewery up to the present time. Who would have ever thought that someone could gain half interest in a brewery by owning an old steam powered thrashing machine... take a look. How about a brewery raising cattle? It happened. The Bridge Of Memories (MP3 PODCAST)

On Wednesday, April 28th, 2004, the old highway 23 iron bridge across the Sauk River in Cold Spring, Minnesota, disappeared from sight to make room for a new four-lane concrete bridge. This is the story about the old bridge and the "bridge kids" that used it as a giant playground and Olympic diving board over 60 years ago.

The Bridge Of Memories (Part II)

Part II of The Bridge Of Memories tells how the bridge kids graduated from swimming to diving. The bridge became an Olympic diviing platform with various levels of height and skill. This eventually involved so many kids that the highway patrol would show up daily to try to get them off. Watch this video to see if he succeeds.

WGBH Boston, gives air time to My Stories Of Life (MP3 Podcast)

Morning Stories, a weekly podcast out of WGBH Public Radio in Boston, gave "My Stories Of Life" a very considerate plug at the end of their program this last week. A big "PROST" (thank you) goes out to Tony and Gary for mentioned the "My Stories Of Life" Vlog on their show.

Give a listen... it's a cute story. If you're like me, this story will bring back a memory or two and maybe a little pang of guilt.

Reverend Anita Farber-Robertson was pretty sure she could tell right from wrong until she went shopping for a pair of gloves and ended up alone in a parking lot with a bottle of cheap champagne.
